MySpace urls and the related sights they've spawned like pimpmyspace are like weeds, they just keep appearing. My daughter found her way around my first attempt at changing the host file because I didn't block enough of the IP addresses. After doing a little pinging myself, I would add all of the following ip addresses to the hosts file:
63.208.226.24 through 63.208.226.255 (a variety of MySpace Servers)
63.209.191.74 (
www.myspacedirect.com)
69.89.74.30 through 69.89.74.255 (another batch of MySpace Servers)
82.165.169.214 (MySpacePhotos)
209.59.200.170 (MySpacePimper)
The group of MySpace servers IP addresses may be overly broad, but as I went through checking each one of the IP addresses, they were either all MySpace or "unable/unauthorized to display this page." If I am blocking somebody's page with some worthwhile info on it, I apologize.
