Hi Bill, Right click the drive, click Properties. You will have a window with a place to change the Volume LABEL. Make it anything you like or nothing. It should change with no problems, but I have never actually seen the type of name you describe. If you can't get windows going then you can change it from DOS using LABEL C: New Label. Good Luck, Jim
