Well, it's not really possible for me to answer that. What do you think? Are you happy with the sound of your games and music?
I also have some Altec Lansing 2.1's, and I'm happy with them. Of course I'd much rather have some klipsch 5.1's if I had $300 to spend on speakers.
As to headphones I'm not sure, having never used them.
If you can find the model for the speakers, you might check
www.epinions.com to see what other people have said about them. Same with the headphones.
If you are going to buy new speakers, however, I would suggest that the subwoofer be in a wooden case and not plastic. Better bass from wooden cases, in my opinion.
