Can anyone please tell what to do to get my sound back?
i'd greatly appreciate it, thanks in advance

Your board is a Biostar U8668 Via P4M266

Set a System Restore Point before installing driver just in case

Then go here to Biostar to get your driver it is a C-Media http://www.biostar.com.tw/support/dr...name=U8668&os=

Hope this helps
