Hi Reibob1 and all,
I got spf before and a couple of times includung a few minutes ago
The first time I just googled spy falcon and got this very STT forum thread in the search results. That was a number of months ago. I read thru the posts and checked out a number of things and tried deleting some files and programs with no success [ I already had Adaware and Edwido , and Hijack This on this computer and while considering what to do I decided to see what a system restore would do.
I picked a date that I knew should be ok and restored to it . It worked fine .
I came to this thread this morning when Spy Falcon flew in to see what had been posted since I first was here a few months back and there were a number of newer posts . I tried looking to see what files I could find on my system and deleting a
few but then went to system restore because it had worked so well a couple of times before .
It seems to have worked fine again this time.
From the first and in later experience with spy falcon it seems to me that they are more interested in getting money than causing trouble on your system but just asking you to send them money to prevent them from putting their files on your system would be extortion,

making them criminals .
By offerring to help you get rid of the files they are hoping to masquerade as good guys and hope you will not believe they put them there .
As an interesting side note , I find that Adaware reports eAcceleration's Stopsign files as malware and Stopsign scans report Adaware files .
I suppose it is possible that they report each other because each of them have virus definition files in their programs but then why don't they report the bigger virus definition files of Norton or McAfee?
Anyone have any knowledge or comment about that?
Good health to all systems , bd
