I had this kwbot c virus, and followed all the steps to remove it,
but I think it did something because I have similar problems to these earlier chaps. I can run fine in safe mode, but when I log in normally it takes about 1 minute for the computer to become unresponsive, even control alt delete won't work. I disabled messenger and that ssdp program as suggested, but still no luck.
In safe mode I've scanned everything with 3 different virus scanners and found nothing, but in normal mode my computer doesn't work long enough to even find out what's eating all my memory. You guys are batting 2 for 2 so far see if you can get 3.
