My guess is since the drive was originally used on a Mac, the partition that's currently on it is, not surprisingly, incompatible with Windows. So My Computer can't see it. It's not simply a case of re-formatting. I think the existing partition will have to be deleted first, then a new partition created and formatted.

Is there an option to 'Delete Partition' when you right-click the drive in Computer Management console? If not, I should re-post and let someone else more knowledgeable than me come up with a solution.
