I also did searh at the Asus web, found Soundmax installation for my motherboard, but it says "Driver Not Found! Please restart..." Message. I tried to restart and reinstall, but it din't work.

Set a System Restore Point before installing driver just in case

checked this board it has the ALC655 Avance AC'97 audio go here to ASUS

follow this path left hand pane under Downloads - Input model to search type P4VP-MX / Search Inf / P4VP-MX / Driver tab / there is your ALC655 Avance AC'97
