Checked specs with HP, you could have a Creative Sound Blaster sound card installed, it's a high end spec system you have, try this driver from Realtek, the version HP offer does not match the Realtek version

download the (Excution file) save to desktop, double click to install,if that fails get Belarc ( free ) copy and paste the report, should show if a sound card is installed

Set a System Restore Point before installing driver just in case
