Thanks barbara for your help, i downloaded the driver and went to device manager to udate the driver. it changed the driver to the Avance AC97 audio but its has a problem. it is still giving me the hardware cannot start problem code10. this thing has me ready to toss it, but it sounds like it can be fixed so i need your expertise. Thanks for being so helpfull.
