I'm not sure you should uninstall the audio controller, it could be the chipset controller, the SoundMAX is the audio driver not the controller. I would just double click that file, it throws up a warning about system files so I was unable to see if it would bring up the SoundMAX installer. My techi who I help sometimes just goes ahead and installs, never bothers to remove the original.
