Sorry for jumping into someone else's thread, but I need help with what seems like the same problem. I bought a T-3504 just two days ago, and immediately reformatted the hard drive and replaced XP Home with XP Pro. CDs, mp3s, system sounds played fine in Home, but now XP device manager says no audio devices are installed.

I downloaded the chipset driver referenced in Barbara's post, but it does not appear to have done anything. Does it need to be installed in a particular location to be recognized? I ran it from the desktop.

I even tried the manufacturer's restore cd, which reinstalled XP Home and (I thought) would reinstall all the drivers, etc, but no luck. I have [i]not[i] opened the case or changed the hardware configuaration, so if sound worked originally, isn't there a sound card somewhere?

I am rapidly pulling out what little hair I have left--any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
