HI Please help me
the other day my volume icon dissapears and im left with no sound. i checked on my devices it came up with a yellow icon with a ! in the middle i try to update the hardware but it keeps saying AC97 WDM SIGMATEL DRIVER STAC97 SYS is missing?? I tired various websites to no avail i even paid some driver detective thinking they would download the right software and correct it no luck infact half way through downloading the laptop sitches itself off!
im very confused on how this has happened and need some help i tired sigmatel they dont want to know they said to me to contact sony i even tried that but was sick of holding on the phone! Now after trying various downloads there is a big yellow question mark on the audio controller bit and it says error dirvers not installed code 28. Help im confused and getting desperate!
i have a sony vaio PCGRT916Z PENTIUM 4
