I'm looking for help now, and I used Belarc Advisor to get this information about my PC's multimedia.

Any help would be welcome, and thanks in advance.

Maybe I've been installing the wrong drivers, or maybe I've been paying attention to the wrong piece of hardware. I'd appreciate it if anyone could lead me in the right direction.

Additional PC information here if required.

Do you have a Compac Presario 5000 computer, from what I can see you have onboard sound ES1888 and a ESS Allegrio PCI Audio sound card installed. What is Device manager showing, any yellow ? or ! marks. Look in Sound and Audio in Control panel, what is the default audio player.

Hope this helps
