Jess, you are completely on the wrong thread...if you have any issue you need to open a new thread....none the less I will answer your question.....but wait a sec.

oldtimer, you are confusing the $hit out people here when you ask unrelated question plus the fact the some of your answers are ABSULTLY WRONG.

OldTimer, please read on you you know the answer too.

Jess, All the DVD movies are designed to run on certain region of the world...so if a DVD from USA does not play in England it means you have the wrong region....there is a way around it...you could us software that will remove the regional security and then copy / burn / watch it.

hahaha0214, Let's get back to your problem.

Couple of thing you need to know before we start.
In order to read a DVD you need to have software....if your DVD in movie format then software like PowerDVD or CyberLink DVD...also, Windows Media Player 10 or better would work too.

If you DVD is in Data format then a plan Jane DVD player should be able to read it, unless the data on the DVD has been written in higher speed then capability of you DVD reader.

If you have a blank DVD, don't try to see what is on it...since there is nothing on the DVD, it takes the computer longer time to determine it's blank then if it actually had data.

If you have a blank DVD and you want to add data of movie to it....again, you will need software for that....I would suggest Nero Burning Rom.

hahaha0214, if you have any other question please PM me.

Cheers
