Alright this is getting really tiresome... so i visited the read the other forum and eventually installed the RealTek '97 driver. But lo and behold... the same error!
I'm beginning to think that this may have something to do with the system files that the audio drivers depend on. Could this be a possibility bookworm? I mean the driver information does include the files ks.sys, ksproxy.ax, and ksuser.dll. Could it be that these files or their registry information has been somehow corrupted by some past virus or the system update itself?
