I don't think you will be able to do this. But what I would do is, get a new hd and go to mfg site. Download program( since you are running windows) to set up hd with windows. Put new hd in as slave or cs in slave position on cable. Pick setup win in xp and make bootable. This will copy entire hd to new hd and then use new hd( after you put it in master position) as your main drive. Disconnect the old drive and there is your entire system if you have a problem. I really don't think you will have much luck getting help from e-machines.Good luck Lenny
