The techguys website does not have the sound drivers for this model for download but what puzzles me is the drivers worked fine before the HDD format?

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case
No drivers offered by EI Systems, but it has the Via AC'97 Audio codec, this is a shot in the dark. Go here to Via and install the audio driver they offer
