Iv'e seen this at Ei Systems, I was hopeing that Everest would give a clue to the motherboard, as I suspected there is no way to enable sound in the BIOS, it is not the standard AMI BIOS, but you can update the chipset, go here to Intel

it's No:4 in the list, the Software Updaate Utility, install then RESTART your comp.
Don't forget the Restore Point
