yoni5002: IT IS NOT battery/hardware mouse related. Let me put this simpler : randomly (after 5 hours or just 1 min after boot-up,or whatever time...) the mouse cursor "divorces" the "real" mouse. I mean the mouse cand be used...i know it is there, i can still click/right click on stuf or scroll...but it is no longer represented on screen by our beloved cursor. The cursor freezes on some place on the screen, and therefore we are now using an invisible mouse. That's the whole problem. I concluded it doesn't have ANYTHING to do with the hardware (the mouse you use). It's just a XP bug/error. It happened to me half an hour ago. I have a fresh XP SP2 (installed it 4 days ago)...and the error occured. It happened before and it happens now. I truly believe it is an undoccumented XP bug... And it is truly annoying! Once the thing happens your cursor gets stuck someplace on screen and you continue with an "invisible real mouse"...until next restart. Since it first happened I enabled the option to "Show the pointer position when I press the CTRL key". Just to really know where the mouse is..until restart.
Pls anybody experiencing this: post a reply here. I am really eager to find out what the thing is all about.
PS: i have P4 3 ghz on Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000 :P. Although i DON'T THINK it has anything to do with the mobo. I'll think, for now, it is JUST a coincidence...
