Hi All

I had same problem with XP Pro not opening Explorer, could run programs from Taskmanager. I had no Taskbar and no desktop icons.

I restarted in safe mode and then chose to run a restore point from a date when XP still worked. PC rebooted and finished some minutes later.

All ok, user may have lost a few emails cause he ran Outlook from Task manager.

Hope it helps someone else, I was at the point of reloading XP!
