For the folks copying or mirroring their C:\ drives, then trying to boot off the "new" drive........but it gets to the blue screen with a winxp logo and nothing else.

The best and easiest way to fix it, boot from an old win98 boot disk in A:\drive. Once at the command prompt type in FDISK /MBR

This will set everything right again, reboot the machine and it will successfully boot into your OS.
