I've had the same issue as others with the Multimedia Audio Controller. I did the Belarc thing and found out my motherboard was a ECS P4S5A/DX. Went to the ECS site, and downloaded the appropriate driver.
However, there is no Setup or Install function with the files I downloaded (only .dll files and such). Where do I put these files so that they get recognized by the system? Or is there another driver that I need?
Many thanks!

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case
Then go here to SiS http://www.sis.com/download/
get SiS 7012 for Win XP
download this file, it has a Setup InstallShield file
Hope this helps
