Boot up your computer with the Windows Xp disk in the CD rom. when it says press any key to boot from CD..press a key. Then you want to enter the option that is something like "Advanced troubleshooting, or windows repair tools. Then it will ask you what drive you want to work with, it should provide you with 2 options. 1. C:\Windows, or 2. D: (or whatever the name of your new drive is.) After you select D: you will get a D: command prompt. Then just type FDISK, or Format D:. If you got a new drive and just need to set it up, then after you hit the "press any key to boot from CD key" enter the option that involves setting up a new partition or drive. This will allow you to format the new drive and choose the type of file system you want. If you need more help dont hesitate to ask.
