thanks for your reply. done everthing that you said and it still asks for the xpcd to get dll files (cd already in). got the windowsNT sourcepath on E:\ also.
when i open the FP40ext .inf file its got:
WK_CD_NAME=" Windows XP Professional CD_ROM"and
SP_CD_NAME = "WINDOWS XP Professional ServicePack 2 CD"
i got xp home edition sp2 , not professional , has this got anything to do with sfc /scannow?
