This is what happened...
Was playing some games, suddenly my speakers+head phones started to make scrambling noises and would stop and start. Then after a few minutes the scrambling would continue to the point where there would be no sound. This would always happen when I play music or games (anything to do with sound). The computer would have no sound after that and an ASUS Audio program would pop up ask to re-connect the speakers and when i would click ok, that blue screen would come up and my system would reboot automatically.
When i would go back into windows after rebooting there would be no sound, i looked into Sound and Audio Devices in Control Panel and it would say there is No Audio Device.
I had installed service pack 2 and had all the drivers up-to-date. Tried re-installing same sound drivers and different sound drivers, but nothing would work.
Just formatted my pc, was going fine...sound was working, updated the drivers, scrambling again...same thing happened again!
Need some help please.

I have 2 versions of this board, Deluxe and Premium, they use Realtek ALC850, before installing any audio drivers update the chipset drivers it is listed under Others in the link http://support.asus.com.tw/download/...Language=en-us
Restart comp after installation and before installing audio drivers

then go to Realtek to get the most up to date drivers http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&GetDown=false

download the (Excutable file) save to desktop, double click to install

The site is slow

Set System restore Points before installing each driver just in case

Hope this helps
