This is what happened.

- Formatted my computer

- Went to that link you gave me for latest chipset drivers http://support.asus.com.tw/download/...Language=en-us

- Installed latest drivers
BUT not the audio driver or GFX driver yet.

- Installed audio driver. Used the driver on the CD the motherboard came with doing so because all these new drivers wouldnt fix the problem.
Realtek ALC850 Driver -- Realtek AC'97 Audio A3.66

- Installed nicely on the fresh XP, sound was working!

- Went into Sounds and Audio Devices Property in Control Panel
TOOK SCREENSHOTS:

- Opened Device Manager

- Then I Installed the latest driver for my Leadtek PX6800 GT

- Restarted the comp

- Computer booted, didn't touch anything..This came up (Would always come up in the past before my sound would stuff up)

- Closed it that program, opened again CLOSED IT and the program froze which then that blue screen came up

- Rebooted the comp, sound wouldnt work
I SCREENSHOT THIS LOG THING AFTER BLUE SCREEN REBOOTED MY PC

- Took a screen shot of Start up programs

Any ideas??
After installed the latest driver of my GFX card that ASUS program popped out of no where and it seems everything went downhill from there. When i used older drivers for my GFX card i would never see that program or have this kind of problem? .

- I went back into Sounds and Audio Devices Properties and there is No Audio Device listed.

- Opened Device Manager, look at the comparisons before and after sound wouldnt work.

I hope this will help solve this problem

Thanks in advance...

It's late, I'll get the manual out and check also check the MoBo driver disk and see whats going on, it may need going into BIOS

Cheers
