have you 2 sets of radio jacks, one near top of tower on I/O plate, where keyboard and mouse sockets are and one lower down the tower in an expansion slot.?

The motherboard has onboard sound and you say a sound card is installed, this would mean that you should have 2 sets of radio jacks. Can you get Belarc http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

copy and paste the report Not the Software Section, then I can see just what is and isn't installed.
