Your post shows two audio controllers both enabled (Intel AC97 & Creative Audigy). You can only have one enabled at any one time, otherwise they will conflict with one another. The conflict may be the cause of your problem.
If you wish to use the integrated audio (Intel AC97) you should uninstall the Creative card. If you want to use the Creative card you should go into the BIOS setup and disable the Intel AC97.
