Building your own system is the best way to get a computer.
You dont have to buy a Prefabricated System with Windows on it.
Also, what is so bad about Windows 2000 or XP? You all are bashing it. You cannot bash something you know nothing about.
I was very nervous when I installed Linux (Redhat 9.0) but it seems to be alright, not as user friendly as Windows. I am an advanced computer user, and if I were not, I would not be able to use Linux. The install was easy, except for the partition section. (I used Druid) I wanted to keep Windows XP because I have programs on there that I need to run, for instance, my schoolwork. and Macromedia Products.

anyways, I like Linux and Windows. (there is nothing wrong with that) And I despise mac. but I have not used it so I cannot bash it, however, my Linux does. lol
