I scanned my system with Belarc to find out the spec as you adviced somewhere on this forum. The properties of sound and audio Devices in Control Panel tell me that I don t have playback device or recording device or midi music device. Probably I would need to reinstall drivers, but I am not sure would I and where to get them from.

Checked HP and the Pavilion 750,UK with the Budapest motherboard showa it has realtek AC'97 on-board audio.
If your radio jacks are near the keyboard + mouse sockets on the I/O plate go here to Realtek http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&GetDown=false

download the (Executable file) save to desktop, double click to install

The site is slow

SET A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT BEFORE INSTALLING JUST IN CASE

Hope this helps
