HD Audio XP problem

Hey guys, new to the forums and am extremely frustrated with this problem.
I have a:

HP dv6227cl
1 gig ram
120 gig drive
AMD Dual Core 1.6

It came with Vista Home Premium, but I prepared the drive for tri-boot. I now boot linux, Vista and XP.

My problem is in XP it's like no audio driver's will work. I've googled for hours a day for over a week now and nothing seems to work. In Device manager it shows "Microsoft UAA High Definition Bus Driver". I have installed that I think, and now it says it cannot load it. (Code39) as far as research goes for code39 nothing seems to resolve it. I used PC Wizard 2007 and it says I have an MCP51 High Definition Audio. Which tends to lead to an nvidia 430 driver package and did not find the audio. It also doesn't detect the internal modem which I think might have something to do with it. Wondering I guess if anyone had any experience with this and what they might suggest.
