Driver installed causes comp to crash... help

Hi,
Trying to do this myself is killing me! So here's my specs and hope you can relieve these very tired eyes... same problem as everyone else.... no sound ...yellow ! mark on multimedia audio controller. Have downloaded and installed numerous realtec drivers... WDMD_R157, WDM_A398, WDM_A397 and others but when installing system crashes and begins dump of physical memory! Help!
