I have tried everything.
I have been trying to fix my sound problem for a while. I give up. I have read so much of this forum as well as a few more. I have tried every suggestion that I ran across. I was trying to fix it withought having to ask another sound question. I am at the end of my patience with this thing.
I have an HP Pavilion zt1175 laptop (perhaps a bit outdated, but it has to do for now). The sound has worked before, then it just quit one day. I worked on it with resources from this forum for a while. Then in another unrelated issue (I geuss), it seemed like my copmuter had a worm or something. I have since restored everything but still no sound.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Below is the Belarc report for my system. I noticed that it does not show a sound device this time, (unless I overlooked it). Before I had to restore it there was an "ac 97" listed.
