Question DEP Closing windows explorer. Can't find the problem!

I'm running Windows XP SP2 on an Acer aspire 5000 notebook. My problem is that Windows Data Execution Prevention closes Windows Explorer at seemingly random intervals. I have run full system scans with Avast! (which I run on my system continuously) and with MicroTrend's Housecall.

Avast found a Trojan Horse, which it removed, and Microtrend found a few security holes in my XP settings. Other than that, the scan looked clean.

Now, I'm aware that I can disable DEP for explorer, but I'm a little uneasy about doing that, as I'm worried some malware is triggering th DEP. Can someone please take a look at my hijackthis log below and recommend a course of action for me (please don't tell me to do a system restore, I can't manage that right now).

The HiJackThis log pushes this post over the 1000 word size limit, so I will post it as a reply below

Thanks,

Nolan
