hi, i recently got a foxconn winfast motherboard installed into my pc
to change from sd to ddr memory (rather than spend a fortune on sd
memory). when they conected it up they said i didnt need the sound card
and would take it out. for the first week or
so the pc ran fine then the sound disappeared so i cudnt play music
but still had the pc error sounds and the pc started rebooting itself
and freezing often (up to 7 times a day) i have looked on many forums
and sites for the info that i need but no answers have appeared
the
motherboard is a winfast motherboard core series 760GXK8MC - RSH
(designed for windows xp)

info on the booklet says

i have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers on the disk that came
with the motherboard a few times without any luck and looked in device
manager which says i have no sound device installed i have tried
installing a few different ones also without any luck. i dont really
know what i am doing or where to look for things so if you need any
more info on the pc you will have to try and tell me where to find it.

in device manager under sound, video and game controllers i have listed,
audio codecs, lecacy audio codecs, legacy video capture devices,
media control devices, SOUNDMAX integrated digital audio, video codecs,
and under system devices
system speakers in properties, general- it says "no drivers are installed
for this device" device type - system devices, Location - on PCI bus

In system properties - general is says
System, microsoft windows xp, professional, version 2002 service pack 2
computer - AMD sempron(tm) processor 3000+
1.8Ghz, 512 MB of ram
physical address extention

have supplied as much info as i know how to find please can anyone help
am nearly at the end of my tether with it

I also get a little error message up on start up that says "unable to set
tary icon" not sure if this is related or something different

and i have also had an error code of - 536870397
any help would be gratefully received
