This is on behalf of my friend's computer. He reinstalled Windows XP home edition and now has no sounds. There is a yellow exclamation mark beside "MPU-401 Compatible MIDI Device" and it also said that no sound or mixer device is detected. After much reading I at least figured out that I should download the Belarc profile so here it is. I would really like to try to figure this out for him as he has no money to take it in to be serviced. Oh, and a major post-script here: I do NOT speak computer-speak! then install the SigmaTEL audio driver
SET A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT BEFORE INSTALLING JUST IN CASE
