in device manager i cant see any expand systems (is it poss called something else)
couldnt see anything named similar either as micosoft audio architecture

Are your audio plugs below the monitor socket, get Everest see what it gives copy and paste My Computer/Summary section

sorry what i meant was in Device Manager / System Devices . click the + sign and see if that M$ system is listed
