I am using a chassis from a old HP with a much different power on off switch configuration. I swapped out the mb and now and struggling with the switch harness. is there a purchase harness or should i just use the loose pins to hook it up. (are they even compatible.)

second question is this

Will the pc start up even without ram installed
i have to send my ram back for an exchange because switching out the the mb meant i had to get new ram. I got the fans to turn on but no activity on the video card and this is my first ever build pc from scratch project


any tips would be greatly appreciated
