I have a related question on the issue of backup. I started using Stroage Sync which seems to work ok, except I need to identify the folders and files I want to backup (of course). Most of the files are in My documents but many of the applications like to store their data files in weird locations ie, their own program folders and they are more difficult to locate and identify. For example, I would like to back up my turbo tax or pinnacel data files. But I am not sure which file suffixes are actually the data files. If the computer crashed which has been known to happen, I would like to think that I could reload the application and recover the data from the backup external drive.
Thanks for your suggestions/comments and what is the best way to locate,identify and save variety of data files.
