The plot thickens... The CD/DVD drive doesn't even show up as a drive when I click on Computer in the Start menu. I get the "C" drive, a "D" drive which is (I think) system information stored on the hard drive, and removable drives "F" through "I", all of which are USB, flash card, etc. slots on the front of the computer. I am pretty sure that the CD/DVD drive was labeled as "E".

As to the system restore, I never created a restore point (stupid, I know). If I do a system restore point now, will it just restore it to the original configuration? Will I lose any data I have stored on the computer? What about music files downloaded via Itunes or connect.com. I can reinstall the programs no problem, but I have probably spent over $100.00 on music, and I don't want to have to pay for it again.

Thanks for your help.

As for the Panasonic drivers it shouldn't cause a problem but then again.....with Vista every thing you need for basic photo's comes with it.
No driver is necessary for your cd rom drive.
Have you tried a system restore point?
