No Sound!

Recently I had a laptop that totally crashed on me so my employer gave me another recently purchased laptop from an employee that had just retired. I needed to wipe out his files and install some additional software so I just reinstalled Windows XP Home with Publisher. Everything is great except I have no audio.

The laptop is a custom job from a local small business. I ran Belarc and this is what I got:
