You might want to have a look on the router there should be a few green lights one should be a power light, the next should be your dsl light, and the third should be your internet light (after that you might have a few more depending on how you connect to your router four example if you use a lan cable there will be another one and also if you use wireless). if the dsl light, and the internet light turn on and of intermittently it could mean that the router is faulty. This is not a guarantee it is just that i have had this problem recently and i had to have the router replaced. if you have another router you can test that would be good.
