go for amd,,, there better designed for gaming,, the newer am2 cpu,s are better am2 athlon x2 5200 or 6000 cpu,s are cheap..for graphics i think nvidia are better,, the drivers are more stable. go for the best within your budget..min of 256 dedicated memory and min of 500 to 600 clock speed the faster the better. if your going to play powerful games get the best you can afford..and min of 2 gig ram. myself..i bought a ps3 and play games online through that on my 26in lcd tv in the bedroom . working out the price,, its cheaper than buying a high spec pc for gaming.
