then i went to check the site you gave me. which didn't help me. but it gave me a link to the hp software download
page.
from there i downloaded, Spring 2006 Original Intel Chipset Drivers and installed it, i then proceed to download Spring 2006 Original Realtek High Definition Audio Drivers . but it dind't work claiming that I needed UAA HD bus driver, I thought I already installed this before, but I came across this
download. and after installing and restarting my sound just worked. I realize that the UAA HD bus driver i installed was R1.75 and this one i recently download was R1.72. how weird. o well thx for the help, your link, led me to another link, which led me to download an older version of UAA and it work. i'm so happy
