This thread seems to have morphed into a general "task manager" problem clinic.

birjukhunti .... yes, it definitely sounds as if you have been infected by something. There is at least one exceptionally nasty piece of malware in the wild that can disable task manager.
You should do this .....
Go here ….

Click on “Download HijackThis Executable” ….
Click “Accept” on the Terms ….
From the menu click on "Do a system scan and save a logfile".
DO NOT choose to upload the scan report to Trend Micro.
Start a new topic in this forum then copy and paste the HJT logfile to that thread. More specific removal instructions will follow for any malware revealed.
Everyone ... please start your own new topic in the forum. Many users posting in the same thread makes it unmanageable and means none of you will be fixed up.
