TssTcorp dvd lightscribe drive in windows Vista Premium
I reciently purchased a HP Pavilion a6167c TV PC from a local store where I live. I got it home and unpacked, and set it up. Very excited , This is my first experience with windows Vista home Premium. Well everything seemed ok at first, but this is one week later and now the operating system does not recognize the drive. I have been building and repairing pcs for the past 20 years, so I do have a good knowledge of the ins and outs of windows and the workings of a computer.
This is the first time I can not remidy a problem with a PC. Very frustrating. The only thing I can think of is either, the drive is bad, or the driver is not written quite right for vista. I called HP Tech support last night and spent over an hour on the phone whit a tech from india. The tech did all that he could think of but to no avail. So the tech said to reinstall the os. So that is what I did, System Restore. after this things seemed to work until I turned it on again this morning. The same thing, no dvd rom dected, and a yellow ! in the device manager. I am ready to return this to the store, Does anyone have any sugestions to remedy this problem?
Thank you all.
