I did reply previously by my reply seems to have disappeared. I’ll try again.

The log is looking better but there are still things to do.

Please let me know which firewall you have chosen to use on this computer.

*******************

Limewire and FunWebProducts website are still on your computer. Again, please let me know if it is your intention to continue using these.

*******************

Go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall/remove the program called Save.

*******************

Next open HJT ... click on 'Do a System Scan Only'... put tick/check marks next to the entries below IF still present BUT NOTE ... I have assumed the 06 entries were not added by a network supervisor, or similar, and that you don't know why they are in the log.

If my assumption is wrong do NOT fix them with HJT but let me know.

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [WhenUSave] "C:\Program Files\Save\Save.exe"

O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present
O6 - HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present

O16 - DPF: {1D4DB7D2-6EC9-47A3-BD87-1E41684E07BB} - http://ak.exe.imgfarm.com/images/noc...1.0.0.15-3.cab

Remember to close ALL open browser windows – including this one – before clicking on “Fix Checked” at the foot of the HijackThis window.

*******************

Go to this folder in BOLD and delete it IF it is still present …..

C:\Program Files\Save

*******************

Empty your recycle bin.

*******************

Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system.

Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.

Updating Java:
  • Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6.
  • Scroll down to where it says
"The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications"…..
  • Click the "Download" button to the right.
  • Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
  • The page will refresh.
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
  • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
  • Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
  • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
  • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
  • Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u2-windows-i586-p.exe to install the newest version.

Post a fresh HJT log with an update on how the computer is working now.
