Huge Problem with computer?

Hey, constantly when i run my Gateway at home...(had for 2 yrs) it will freeze constantly if you let it sit still for to long or if you open a program that uses alot of memory (adobe photoshop) or full screen games. Sometimes even if i just open the start menu. When it freezes the monitor will freeze with like a static image ... yesterday night i did a full hard drive Reformatting and yet its still happening. I heard its either Overheating/Hardware failure/Loose Parts...I moved it from a cabinet with no openings to on top of desk. I also checked inside of it for loose parts. Could it maybe be from dust or is something wrong? Like are the fans dieing or something. sometimes on startup it just sits there and wont load so i have to hit the top of it kinda hard to get it to do the beep noise of starting up. Also, it will do that freezing right when i turn it on and it shows the gateway logo frozen. I can't hear, move my mouse or anything only way to fix the problem is to restart and it will just do it later on / right away again.

Also another problem is sometimes my monitor turns full blue and if you hit the monitor it will go back to normal.

Imma try to find my comps specs and post them. Thanks.

(((((This computer specs are pretty close to my computers. Just looks alittle different and didn't get some of that stuff with it.)))))
