Hi, just replaced CD-R/W With DVD R/W drive and now no sound on my home pc.
Checked System prop's and no problems shown there, open Nvida Mixer and it shows sound input in the EQ Spec analyzer and output VU, but no sound is coming out the speaker port. I checked the cable from the DVD to the M-board and it's ok. The other DVD drive also shows sound input in the Mixer.
Did I somehow fry my audio input or output? Do I need to replace the audio with a PCI sound card?
System:
ASUS A7N8X AMD Athon 64
2gb ram
Onboard Realtec acl650 (AC97) Audio, with Nvidia Nforce audio.
